Ford 1510 - what to do for winter storage?

Hi again, I have a 1983 Ford 1510 3 cyl diesel. What should I do before putting it in my outbuilding for the winter? I have no heat in there so it will get pretty cold in Northern Michigan.

If you have power in the building, you should put a trickle charger on the battery.
If no power, you could use a 12V solar trickle charger, or you could take the battery out of your machine, and put in a heated building with a trickle charger attached.
Last option: You could just buy a new battery each year.

I place a block of wood between the clutch rod and floor board (clutch disengaged) to make sure the plates don't rust together as well..

Also do what you can to keep mice and other critters out.

I'd lube everything well. Check condition of coolant and top it off.

I have heard that mice do NOT like moth balls. Maybe put some moth balls under the hood and in the battery compartment.
