Have a 1700 4x4 with loader, and one of the front (badly weather-checked) tires gave out this past weekend.
Was surprised to see they are only 4 ply rated around 750 lbs load.

Am hoping to replace them with something not quite so aggressive as they tear up the lawn pretty bad being narrow (6.00-16) ag tires.
Not seeing much variety out there in that size beyond ribbed tires and the same ag tires that are on it now.
Has anyone found an alternative that might be closer to an industrial style tire?
I noticed there are some (vintage) Jeep truck tires available that might work.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Keep the front/rear ratio shipped from the factory. If you go turfs/r4 on the front, you may have to change the rears.

When I had one go on my 1700 I just replaced both with the same size AG tire. The 1700 doesn't do half the damage my 1920 does to the lawn

Decided to go with a pair of 6 ply replacements in case I trade it in on a hydro-static some day.
I think the lugs are closer together and about half the height of the old ones (maybe just wishful thinking on my part).

How much did those run you ? I have originals on my Ford 1900 that are pretty weather checked.

They started out at $70 each, then new tubes, labor, tax, and disposal fee brought them to $109 each.
