I towed 4500 pound tractors behind my Volvo on numerous occasions. Only in the evenings when traffic is calm and i can watch far ahead. I'm not going to recommend it because i have no idea what kind of driver you are, and what traffic you will be driving in... But i do stop 2 or 3 times to balance the load just perfect, before hitting the highway. I have brakes on all axles and the tires have a good overcapacity.

If anyone is ever wondering I inquired from Bush Hog back in Jan 2013 what my '81 vintage Bush Hog model 2400QT loader on my Ford 2600 weighs and they told me about 1250 pounds. That information is not in the manual so I emailed tham and asked.
