Well I just bought a 70's model ford 2000 3 cyl gas and got it home. What can yall tell me bout this tractor? Have always had a diesel tractor but it finally gave up the ghost an is need of rebuilt, so I ran across this tractor for a good price and it seems to run good so I brought it home. Only problem I have ran across is the fuel lever seems to be alittle touchy. When pulling a plow on one of these what gear should it run in. The transmission is a 4 speed. Anything you can tell me about this tractor would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

can't add anything to what I already told ya over on ytmag.. but here it is again..
the 4spd gasser is pretty much the economy model of the 3 yls.. but it is what it is.
I'd plow in 2nd gear on a 4 spd.
diffy and hyds are common.. tranny is seperate..
most like 80w90 in the trans and UTF fluid meeting m2c134D in the diffy.
engine oil? unless in real cold areas i'd stick with a 15w40 C rated oil.. even on the gasser.
clean out the radiator.. grease her up, repack the front hubs, lube and adjust steering box, change oil and filters.. and use her ...
