Concerning your PTO question. Does your tractor have a lever on the left side of the transmission you pull up on to engage the PTO? If so, you have a live PTO and a two stage clutch. Push clutch half way down (should be faily easy to push this far) to put in gear and all the way down to engage/disengage the PTO. The spring on the clutch for the PTO is very heavy. I have to almost stand up on my clutch pedal to get it all the way to the "floor board" so to speak. Hope this helps.
