While installing a Ford front end loader on a '66 3000, the shaft that drives the pump does not line up with the hole in the axle. I bolted the hub with the spline to the crankshaft pulley, and the pump shaft does not line up correctly. I loosened the bolts and was able to install the shaft, but when I tightened it back up, it rubs where it passes through the axle. When I say it rubs, I mean that it started to smoke when I started the engine. I know it cannot operate like this, but I don't see any adjustment to align the crankshaft pulley with the access hole in the front.

Has anyone ever encountered this before? What can I do to correct the alignment?

Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.
