ford 3000 fuel coming out of weep hole in fuel pump

anybody have experience in fuel coming out of the weep hole in a gas ford 3000 fuel pump. it is a drop, squirt every second or so? what does this mean?

Sounds like you need a new pump. The diaphragm is shot.

After selling aftermarket pumps from Atlantic for years, we had to give up on them due to quality issues. We now sell OEM pumps exclusively. Be careful buying on price alone.

thanks, new one coming from new holland, started to get a rebuild kit but 52.00 for a new pump so I went that way.

And saved $1.25 after bastardizing his fuel AND electrical system. Not worth it to most of us.

Maybe, but having an electric pump on a diesel is much more practical than a mechanical pump.
No turning over of the engine to "prime" your injection pump and injectors,
just turn the key on and bleed your system if necessary.
I'm speaking of older machines with mechanical pump's.
If you can change a mechanical pump, I'm sure you can install an electrical one,
there's really nothing to it, give it power with "key on" and your all set.
It was just a thought.

i guess you missed the part where this is a GAS tractor.. not a diesel.

It does not have an injection pump.. nor fuel injectors. it has a carb....
