1/2” socket w a universal swivel and a stubby extension works great on the back bolt, if u attack it past the third outlet..

I'm sure it has been untouched for 56 years! I have tried to get two mechanics and one shop to remove it for overhaul, but no one would do it. I know why now! Leaking diesel combined with dirt makes a huge mess. Thanks for your help!

Did u see the timing marks on the housing and drive hub.?? Did u use them.??
