I just came across a 1980 Ford 6600 tractor with a Freeman loader, bucket, and forks. Tractor runs strong, everything appears to be in good condition. I'm not familiar with the Freeman loader though. The owner is asking $8000. Any thoughts on this tractor/loader?

Strong tractor, Freeman loaders are now Bush Hog brand, from what I can find.

Our 6600 started a little hard, but a good strong tractor. We had a Bush Hog loader on a 180 Allis Chalmers-good loader, attached quickly and easily, but not much rollback. We used it hard for silage, bedding, soil , manure, snow, gravel and round bales and never had any problems. $8k doesn't sound bad to me.

Sounds like a good deal here to . I think my BIL paid that much for an older model with 4 new tires and a paint job. And no FEL!!
