My son's father-in-law helps his nephew farm 400 acres and a 7610 is one of their main tractors...
Stone cold reliable and plenty of power...
They pull a 15 foot batwing with it...
They have over 400 cows and 3 chicken houses...
Regarding prices, I have noticed older iron here going for high prices too...
Even @ 16K, which is a lot of coin, compared to a new tractor with tier 4 emissions, it is still money in the pocket...
I think that the days of finding older tractors in good shape for a bargain price are over...

I agree, grandad gave 22k and they delivered it with a full tank of fuel.

i bought my 7610s slightly used. got it from the dealer that sold it to the original owner, who used it a few hours and brought it back. He got it to mow an orchard. had a aluminum canopy installed and bought a mower. he drove it a few hours and broke a fender, headlamp in the fender, pto guard and the aluminum canopy. he kept hitting his own trees. he brought it back and got something smaller. I saw the original invoice. I bought it, as is, damaged fender and headlamp, and canopy, but it had the full ballance of the factory warranty, and they repalced the pto guard under warranty. Ibasically got a few thousand off for some scratch n dents and a few hours on the clock. i then traded in my 1920 i had bought from the dealer 3 ys prior, got good trade for that, and picked up the 7610s. awesome machine.. but yeah.. that's new price + for a 7610s back when....

The cost of the new machines and tier4 is running the price up on used seems like no matter what brand as long as its a name brand.Around here your hard pressed to get a good used 50hp tractor for $10000.00 let alone a bigger model.
