Just picked one of these up. Any body have one, how do you like it? Anything I should check for. It's a little ragged out but not bad and I got a good deal. Gonna be a fun project.

Honey! I'm home! ...and I bought you a new sweeper.;) :D :D

I'll bet you are going to have fun with that. Will you use the sweeper or will that be salvage? Does the tractor have extra hydraulic pumps to run the sweeper? I think you'll have lots of fun with that.:)

EDIT: On second look I see the extra pto pump on the rear.

The first thing you should do is take it to a New Holland dealer and have them go over the entire tractor and put it on a dyno. Make sure everything is up to specs and have them inspect everything. Also, when they are going over your tractor watch them and ask questions. And make sure you get a manual. But a good dealer inspection will be worth it if there is a problem.

I have a 7710-II which is basically the same but slightly newer and they are great tractors but if there is a problem the cost will add up quick.

Well, I doubt it even runs...auction buy. Going to pick it up in a couple of weeks and just finished putting a 10,000# winch on my trailer so my expectations aren't too high. I figure I can get it running pretty quick. Plan on going over everthing mechanical, I've got a heavy duty truck parts store so getting parts isn't gonna be a problem, I'm just not too sure how many parts I'm gonna need :D After I get everything working right I'll fix up the interior, I found out I can replace the whole interior for about $450, plus a radio, fix a/c, and then I'll paint it blue. It's mostly going to be used to plant food plots out in west texas and whatever else I feel like throwing at it. Oh yea I think I'll sell the sweeper, not much use for it except to say "hey I've got a street sweeper"

Sweepers create alot of dust. Dust in an diesel can create problems. Hopefully air filter was changed alot. Might be an oil burner. I hope you have a New Holland dealer as close as the truck parts dealer.

Well I went and picked it up yesterday and man am I happy. We got there put a new battery in it and it cranked right up :D That made loading it a LOT easier and hopefully it won't need much work. Got the interior stuff on order, also have a guy lined up to sand blast and paint, also ordered new decals. First thing to do now is go over all the filters hoses and change all the fluids. Tires are basically brand new! All in all I am REAL excited. As you can tell I couldn't have gotten away with a smaller trailer.
