Ford 9n carburetor

Can anyone please explain to me why the long brass tube “emulsion”? In the center of a Ford 9N carburetor is sized 10 mm? Does it mean that it was replaced at some point with an offshore tube?

The item marked 9350 in your pic is the part he is referring to, as to it being a 10 mm size and a replacement, could be. These old tractors have had LOTS of things worked on and changed over their long life. As long as it was and is running correctly I wouldn't worry about it. The OEM were marked on the mounting boss.
