heck, there so crammed with junk, i cant even trace a spark plug wire.
My friend, you are way behind the times. Of course you can't trace a spark plug wire...I don't think any vehicle manufactured in the past 20 years has had spark plug wires. They all have a coil mounted on each spark plug these days!

I have a 2019 Ranger. OEM tires were good in -6" of snow. I bought 2020 take off tires and rims with 500 miles. Same snow traction. Have dedicated snows Artic Claw I believe, and they are better in all depths of snow.
Common sense and experience are just as important as what tires you run.
I always try out my new vehicle in a snowy parking lot to get used to it's limitations. (and for fun)

Hardest part is getting the connectors off the coil packs where needed.
Hardest part for me was to get the coil pack/spark plug boot to release from the spark plug after many years of not being touched. I doubt the factory used dielectric grease on them!

I change plugs when engine hot, helps the rubber be soft. I tore a boot once on the plug and had fun picking it apart with needle nose pliers so I could put the socket on it and not lose pieces in the head.

I worked with a fellow in Spokane a while back; he was Indian (like, from India), and bought his first car in Florida and basically learned how to drive it by driving from Florida to Spokane. We were rapidly approaching winter, so I gave him the advice - when it snows, go out into the back of the parking lot late in the evening when there aren't cars out there... get up to like 10mph and slam the brakes. Experience the slide. See how you can't steer when sliding? - and then a variety of other advice including practicing driving therewhere he could do little damage to himself, the car, or infrastructure (there was an occasional light pole in the lot - conveniently with a 110v plug for my truck so I wouldn't be absolutely frozen when I got into it at 2am). Also, get a feel for how much you can brake, etc.

I taught him how to recover from a skid, but the most important thing was him practicing to the the feel of driving in snow and how to avoid the skid in the process.

He survived that winter and two more before moving to the SF Bay Area - no accidents.

I also follow my own advice every year when I first encounter snow and do similar practice.

You got that right. All my other rigs have been diesels and one was 30 years old, the other 20 years old. My wifes rig is 2017 tundra, but she takes care of that thru toyota.

I have a fleet of F150s with Ecoboost engines. One had over 400,000 when I sold it to an employee that still is driving it. That one was 2013 3.5. Mine is a 2021 with 128,000 still running good on original plugs. Mine is the Max Tow package and I have been having issues with an axle bolt breaking. It has a recall on it but they have not found a solution yet.

A couple of them are 2020 models with the 2.7 and have over 200,000. I have one 2020 with 2.7 and 168,000 now that does have transmission issues. It is a valve body problem that tries to shift to 1st at highway speeds. The clutches were slipping some but not bad and not all the time. I just ordered a replacement improved transmission for it for $4,000. We will replace it in our shop.

Over all very satisfied with these trucks and will continue buying them as we replace them or have new needs. We do change the oil every 5,000 or so miles with full synthetic oil.

No, 10R80. Recall not for this year model but probably will be after I replace several of them. :ROFLMAO:

I own a 2022 f150 xlt 2.7 liter eco boost 4wd 10 speed automatic.
It was the local Ford dealer demo unit, I bought it with 3,500 miles on it. Has 15,000 miles now.
After The first year the windshield started leaking but they fixed it free of any charges.
It’s also had a few recalls without any charges.
The mpg usually indicates over 22 mpg and i have been pretty impressed with that.
It has plenty of power for my use and the cruise control works great.
I didn’t care for the tires it came with but so far they have been working great, if I ever put manage to put on enough miles to require new tires I will most likely buy some more aggressive snow-off road tires.
