That's a sweet looking interior. I just bought a 12 F150 with ecoboost and I like it so far. Traded in a Toyota tundra with 5.7 and I would say the acceleration feels similar but the ride is completely different. I don't have any mpg numbers yet.... Still working on the first tank of gas.

They made great changes to the interior once they had a solid drivetrain. I like how you can still get the 6 passenger split front bench or 5 seater center console like the pics above. Having seating for 6 has been a life saver many times for me.

Interior reminds me of the mid 2000's Fords with the King Ranch trim line.

Nice to see Ford is not the only one of the Big 3 with a center shift option. I have had them in my trucks since 2003. I have had it in 4 or 5 trucks including my current Titan and some F-150's and will never go back to the column shift. My 06 F-350 still has the column shift but I dislike it now after driving the others so much.

I think Ford, Nissan, Toyota, and Dodge now have this option. Have not seen a GM with a center shift.

The column shift in my 07 F250 is fine with me.

I have had 4 adults and 2 kids in the cab on many hunting trips. The GPPM (gas per person mile) makes my V10 relatively cheap to take on a long hunting trip.

With 6 people, 2-3 dogs and all the gear makes me want to drive across a scale sometime. I bet it pushes it well over 8k.

I agree and am glad that the center console shifter is an option. I personally prefer the folding console with the ability to use the center as a seat if need be as opposed to bucket seats. Even with bucket seats I also still prefer a column mounted shifter with an automatic transmission. I think it's wise of them to offer the option as even though a console shifter wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, it would definitely be a noticeable minus.

Quick update. I had my dad over to help me put up 25 sheets of OSB and do some siding on a barn extension today and I drove his truck to lunch again.

To date it has average 17.2 mpg. Its a 2011 F-150 Super Crew 4x4 Eco Boost 4X4 with the 3.73 gears. His longest trip to date is about 55 to 70 miles, retired and does not go far. Average trip is 4/5 miles each way to town so about a 8/10 miles round trip. It also has factory remote start and he said he has used it just about every day this winter for a good 10 minutes in the garage. Yes, he opens the door first, but his garage is unattached so he keeps his second opener on the kitchen counter where he can see the garage door open then start the truck. Anyway, it has right at 10,600 miles on it now.
