Yup, and under the new EPA system my 2003 RAM is only rated at 11 city / 15 hwy which makes the new RAM rated at 14 city / 20 hwy even more impressive. That means it's actually about a 33% increase in mpg's with just the addition of MDS and VCT...You are aware that EPA changed the entire mileage rating system a couple years back?
Once again, NO IT'S NOT!At this point in the development of the internal combustion engine, a 10% mileage gain is enormous. Facts are stubborn things
Now for real world data vs your "paper physics", my truck that used to average 15 mpg with my mixed driving now averages 16.5 mpg with just the addition of a $300 tonneau cover. There's a 10% gain. I have yet to test one but many other users have shown gains of 10-15% in fuel mileage with a programmer like Superchips. Normally aspirated gas engines are still far from efficient so it's very easy to squeeze more mpg's with minor changes. This V6 turbo DI engine is a MAJOR change in technology vs the old V8's it's against yet I bet a new comparable V8 truck with a bed cover and programmer (<$700) would match or beat it's fuel mileage. That's the FACTS, something your engineering and physics can't prove in the real world...
