Forget Cats... this worlds gone to the dogs....

When we bought our first house we decided to get another dog. I wanted a big dog, my wife wanted another small dog. We compromised, kind of, on a small/medium sized dog, a cocker spaniel. Her name is Ally.

I think she is the prettiest dog I've ever seen in person. Definitely the sweetest/humblest. But she isn't very photogenic. All of her pictures turn out as a black blob.

After having two dogs, I still wanted a big dog. After much persuasion, I convinced my wife to go with me to look at some puppies. Once there, she couldn't say no. This puppy grabbed onto her arm and I got my big dog.

This is Chloe. She's two now and is a German Shorthaired Pointer. She comes from a fancy line of dual champions, but I don't compete in anything with her. I bought her to hunt with, but she mostly lays on the couch. She is beatiful on point though. Our new land is full of quail and we have some good times together.

She is terrified of our littlest dog though. She learned the pecking order real fast. It is hilarious to see him boss her around.

Attached is a picture of her in her most comfortable position. We call it the dead deer position.

I could post pictures of my dogs all day long. They've all got such big and different personalities it amazes me all the time. They really bring a lot of joy to our lives. But I guess a lot of you feel that way...

Last night, when I tried posting the picture again, I finally realized that the picture, which is jpg. is too large to post. I didn't get a message saying that it was too large when I tried posting like I thought it would. Anyway, when I tried to reduce the size of the picture, the software said it was an unrecognizable format!?/w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif You can see that I'm a real computer whiz kid!!/w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif Then I ran out of time, so I'm going to have to mess around tonight with it.

I've been trying to post an older picture that we already had, but I may just chase Bailey around with our new digital camera just to get a couple of shots that I can post!
