What still amazes me about TBN is the quality of the conversation. Very little personal attacks and angst driven dialog especially compared to other websites I read but seldom post. The other websites also seem to have the same, small number of people always "talking" and thus it is kinda an echo chamber. This is not really the case on TBN.
I take it that you havent spent much time over in "Friendly" Politics forum on TBN then...
Outside of that forum, I agree.

:laughing::laughing: Reread what I said and Bruce repeated. Pretty funny.:laughing::laughing:

It took a second for me to get it too. At first I thought Bruce had hit the reply button before finishing his comment... :D:D:D

Later,
Dan

That Bruce guy is pretty sharp!!!! I always enjoy reading his posts and can often find an underlying message!!!! :D

Yep, I have never read the "Friendly" Politics forum on TBN.

Same here as to never looking at classifieds. But I have sold (unneeded) tractor attachments to other TBN members purely by chance. Never have done the Craig list e-bay thing because I ain't into buying/selling that way. The experience here had a pleasant outcome.`Something that I notice about TBN is that the ratio of members to visitors is usually10 to 1. .... must be a lot of interest here.

As to the friendly politics......I don't go there.....that's kinda like the Red, Orange, Green, Yellow or Blue discussions.
Cheers,
Mike

I can say, that besides tractors, a lot of internet searches for other do-it-yourself subjects / rural living subjects lead people to TBN.
Just the other day I was trying to find info on how a particular device for a water well ballast tank works. Doing a google search, there's no information anywhere on the internet (only some clues). After a bit of searching, google pointed me to a link that was describing my component and problem exactly! And it was on TBN! Now we're cooking! Only problem was it was MY THREAD I started on TBN asking the same question! :banghead:

S... the ratio of members to visitors is usually10 to 1. .... must be a lot of interest here...

A while back I came onto the site without logging in. After about three moves to different threads or forums, I was invited to sign in or join before being allowed to continue. That probably discourages a lot of visitors.

IIRC, there is an option to close that window (the escape key works, or you can click an X or a cancel button).
