Found Kubota Bolt

Found a bolt on the garage floor under my Kubota BX. Checked tractor and implements over several times and haven’t had any luck locating where it came from. It has a 7 stamped on the head and it is a 10mm bolt with washer. Pics attached. Any help much appreciated.

A 10mm bolt on a BX? Well that could only come from..........well, about 99% of places on a BX.

Seriously though, it doesn't appear to have paint on it which makes me think it's not off the BX. Possibly an attachment? What add-ons/aftermarket items does it have?

The 7 is an odd tensile strength rating if that's what it means on metric bolts, Imo.

I also believe the 7 has to do with strength but in my experience it's a pretty common number on many bolts on Japanese tractors.

It's so clean and new looking, it may not have come from the tractor, especially with the washer still intact on it.

Do you have any pranksters in your circle? My brothers and I used to race dirt bikes, requiring an engine tear down/rebuild every few races. I would occassionally drop an extra snap ring into his parts bucket just to watch the perplexed look on his face as he mentally went through the process of putting the cases back together, trying to figure out where that snap ring went. Cruel, but funny.

Packing frame material bolt ?

Doesn't strike me as a "tractor" bolt.... Maybe accessory or packing frame as suggested above....

That is a JIS bolt, so it did come off of something japanese. My Cat with a Mitsubishi engine has a lot of that grade 7 bolts.

Here is a quick equilivencey formula...

SAE Grade 5 = metric 8.8 = JIS 7
SAE grade 8 = Metric 10.9 = JIS 10

Tractor is still fairly new.

Fabricator/installer at factory/dealer dropped it during work in an inaccessible location and just grabbed another one. Too new/shine to actually be in use.

Check everything that looks like it'd be dealer installed. Ive taken delivery of 4 new kubotas over the years at work and my local dealer is notorious for not tightening bolts.
