Are the Bro-Tek plates incompatible with a mmm?

The rear plate can be left on with the MMM, and has a small "door" in it that can be removed to allow the mower shaft to run through to the MMM. That is the way I have mine set up - I leave the rear plate on all the time. You can purchase the plate pieces separately.

In my case I only purchased the rear plate as I normally always have my MMM on to cover the rest of the underbelly. I do take the MMM off for the winter for snow plowing, but I don't really do anything that would compromise the underbelly during the winter.

Yes and no. The rear plate, which adds a lot of protection for the fan but not 100%, works with the MMM installed but the mid section plate is not compatible with the mower. Of course when the MMM is on, you don't need the mid section protector.

In this thread, first post, a fellow member has a picture of the underside of his BX with just the rear skid plate installed. You can see that the "door" I was referring to (that can be removed for the MMM shaft to run through) is still in place on his.

Just a slight correction, GolfAddict. It can be removed, but I just move one bolt and have the door pivot out of the way. Great design by Richard.

Unless you can weld on two bolt-together faces, I wouldn't even consider it. I wound up taking mine to the dealer and paying the $250 deductible. I'm actually picking up my Bro-tek skid plates from another member on here tomorrow to ensure this doesn't happen again.

To be honest, there really isn't a lot of room under there. Kinda wish someone would make a metal replacement, or better yet - a replacement with flexible blades that won't pop off!

The deductible is a one time thing?

I called the dealer and he told me I shouldn't worry about overheating the hydraulics with winter weather, so I'm running the **** out of the poor machine. I guess I'll find out if it's true or nor.
The seat! It has to be facing forward for the machine to drive? That's annoying!

Picked up my Bro-Tek plates (both of them) from another member here a few weeks ago and finally took the time today to put them on. Not exactly the easiest thing to do (when you're tired from doing a bunch of other stuff!) but I got them on nice and solid. Not a moment too soon either, I've been clearing some brush and a piece flipped up under the tractor and whomped the skid plate! Can't imagine what it would have done had I not had the plates in. Finally feel comfortable (and somewhat invincible) in my little tractor! LOL

FWIW, I don't have a MMM so I got the front plate. I've got a 5' finish mower and a 4' brush hog to pull behind mine instead.
