Dave,

Real sorry to hear about your problems, but if it's any consolation you'll enjoy the rear remotes. How many did you get?

Dave,

How did the dealer unload it once you got it there?

Peter,

Ordered two. Would have liked to fill the operator's panel but couldn't justify the extra $ at this time. Will use the rear remotes for operating a mower/conditioner, deflection chute on the snow blower and am also going to get the cylinders for 3pt top and side links.

Its nice to know the unit is being fixed and I can get back to doing some work. Last night did some manual shovel work - backfilling of a trench about 40 ft long, 18 inches deep and 12 inches wide. Sure missed having the tractor for that work but couldn't wait as the soil moisture was perfect for moving and we are expecting rain all week.

Aw, compared to loading it was pretty straightforward. The dealer was closed when we dropped it off on Sunday.

The tractor was loaded facing forward. Just lowered the gate, used the FEL to raise the front axle and drove backwards. Once the front axle was off the gate and the FEL was still on the bed of the trailer I stopped, raised the FEL, drove the vehicle/trailer forward (away from the tractor), lowered the FEL down and backed the tractor over by the dealer's shed. Only took about 4 minutes, kids were disappointed as they were playing on the swings at the park across the street.

So you are finally going to get your remotes, Dave. Very nice! I know you will enjoy them. I need to go back and add two (total of three) to my tractor, but building a new house is taking all my time and $$$ right now. Heck, I hardly have time to read the NH forums, much less all the rest. Last weekend, I did some cleanup/dirt moving around my foundation of the new house and it was so nice to not have to do it by hand. While I was having trouble with my tranny, I constantly had uses for my tractor and I really missed it. Backfilling ditches as you had to do is a good tractor job. I know you will surely appreciate having your tractor back soon. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Just curious, how will you use the third? The only way I could dream up the use for three would be if the first two are being used for top-n-tilt and wanted to hookup the MoCo or some other....ohhhh. Now I get it, a box blade with hydraulic scarifiers, or rear blade with hydraulic blade angle, or a boom with hydraulic extension and hydraulic winch, or .....

I was actually thinking of using top-n-tilt to level a post driver and the third remote's pressure port to drive the ram. For return on a post driver, you can't use the remote because it is too restrictive. Normally, you remove the filler cap to the reservoir and put a large return line there. Anyhow, I think you came up with a few good uses on your own./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Just remember, you can never be too rich or have too many remotes./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Got my baby blue back this morning. Runs great and everything is back to normal. Dealer did a great job on warranty work (and quick too, only two days!) and the two rear hydraulic remotes look good. Found out those filters for 300hr service will set you back a pretty penny (engine oil, fuel filter, outer air filter, hydraulic filter and hydrostatic filter), gulp!

Hey Dave,
I'm not trying to step on any toes here, but i read "at least" once a week about a tractor/loader breaking because of dirt work. As i've all ready stated, i've done it my self! I assure you, compact tractors don't come close to being able to take the abuse an ag. tractor will take, and dirt work kills ag. tractors too!!!

Like i said, i'm not stepping on any toes, but if you do "HD" dirt work with your compact, your working on borrowed time, and when it's out of warr.????????

Robert,
I have replaced several of those couplers. They are a safety shear coupler that are designed to break. Most of the ones that I have replaced have been on tractors without loaders.
