I have had the same problem with trespassers. No details now but I have cost them money with Lawyers and land surveys that were not needed, but they tried to prove it was their land and found out it wasn't.
I wanted to at one time put out spiked boards to puncture their tires but have found that not retaliating was the best course of action as anything you do will be amplified far beyond their transgressions, especially in court where you will need clean hands.
I offer one suggestion that I thought might help. Make a spiked board and tack it to a tree or top of a fence post, in full view. The thought that they could find more on your property might make them want to go elsewhere. Don't put any on the ground as booby trapping your land is against the law and for sure you will forget where you put them. :2cents:
