In Maine all you need to do is call the game warden and they are more than happy to take care of the problem with a summons .I had hunters put up tree stands for hunting bear on my property with out permission and tear up my roads with a four wheel drive truck as the ground was soft at the time . The game warden took care of it real quick and wanted me to file charges . I said if they stay off that's all I wanted , it worked in my case . They wern't very happy about it but who cares .Come to find out later they had caused problems on other peoples land also .

As for the trespassing, spike strips come to mind, placed strategically in high speed areas. Hopefully they won't sue you for the cost of the new tires!:laughing: 445A

Mr nice guy will get u know where .. Stand firm and explain to them in a clear sound voice you will not tolerate this activity.. When I bought this place I had coon hunters who thought because their grandad hunted it was there's to hunt .. They became very surprised when their dogs tree'd a coon I was there waiting .. Those two guys couldn't believe it ... They never came back .. But I'm a little crazy .. Wife says I'm nuts!!!

Yep, that's what I was suggesting by having a Man to Man with the guy. No law required. Non-waivering eye contact. Calm, deliberate voice. No threats, just clear, easy to understand statements about how you are going to deal with the next trespass.
When dealing with my "fence" neighbor I said you will remove your fence tomorrow or I will. And if I do I will cut the wire, yank the steel posts out with my Grapple and pile them in my scrap iron pile. Then I'll pull the hedge posts and cut them up for firewood. He said I'd rather you didn't do that. I said move your fence. He started tearing it down the next morning. If I'd went the law route I'd still be fighting it and spending my money to do it and his fence would still be on my property.
