Frame or 3 point?

   / Frame or 3 point? #21
The 3-point hoe market used to be for hoes on utility tractors. There housings are much stronger than those on compact tractors. Even on the utility size tractors you would see a broke housing once in a while as JB showed above. Now, the big market for hoes are in the compact class.

Yea,
I think you're right. My 3pt hoe will eventually be a subframe mount. There is no doubt in my mind frame is better.

Your right. Still, there aren't a ton of broken tractors from 3pt hoes. It takes time and stress, rather a lot of it. Many home hoe users won't use their equipment often enough or hard enough to damage it. Most operation manuals put a crack check as part of the maintenance on a yearly or 600 hr basis. They usually aren't found at 600, but start to show up at 1200. Few here will put 600 hoe operation hours on in life of the tractor. Fewer still will put 1200, 1800 or 2400 - when cracks are more apt to be found.
