I think Frankenblower rocks, could be a viable marketable attachment IMO.
Get the whole platform to mount to a quick tach plate, all you would need is electric lines to control it run up to operator, the whole thing would be off and on in the time it takes to swap a bucket.
Of course the 18-20 hp power plant makes it expensive but so is everything else that's so convenient, people would buy it.
The name Frankenblower has me envisioning the thing breaking free of it's chains and going on a rampage like "Kill Dozer" anyone remember that one?
I'm now using the prefix "franken" to describe some of my contraptions!!! Thanks.
JB.
Thanks JB!!
You're right on the mark, the big horizontal engines are hard to find cheap. The one I picked up has a crankshaft that is really chewed up, I was lucky and there is enough of it sticking out to use with a pinned sprocket.
The Kill Dozer, that the one that went through the glass greenhouses?
As to "Franken", my pal saw it and said something about "Frankenhooker". He told me it was a movie about a guy that ran his girlfriend over with a lawnmower and saved her brain...then killed hookers to make a new body. It might not have been at the local movies if you know what I mean. I said "Frankenblower" and it was set in stone.
You're right on with bucket pins too, I can have this off in about 3 mins.
Thanks for the note and best to you!
