I think Frankenblower rocks, could be a viable marketable attachment IMO.
Get the whole platform to mount to a quick tach plate, all you would need is electric lines to control it run up to operator, the whole thing would be off and on in the time it takes to swap a bucket.

Of course the 18-20 hp power plant makes it expensive but so is everything else that's so convenient, people would buy it.

The name Frankenblower has me envisioning the thing breaking free of it's chains and going on a rampage like "Kill Dozer" anyone remember that one?

I'm now using the prefix "franken" to describe some of my contraptions!!! Thanks.

JB.

Thanks JB!!

You're right on the mark, the big horizontal engines are hard to find cheap. The one I picked up has a crankshaft that is really chewed up, I was lucky and there is enough of it sticking out to use with a pinned sprocket.

The Kill Dozer, that the one that went through the glass greenhouses?

As to "Franken", my pal saw it and said something about "Frankenhooker". He told me it was a movie about a guy that ran his girlfriend over with a lawnmower and saved her brain...then killed hookers to make a new body. It might not have been at the local movies if you know what I mean. I said "Frankenblower" and it was set in stone.

You're right on with bucket pins too, I can have this off in about 3 mins.

Thanks for the note and best to you!

I witnessed quite a few "jam sessions" and went to see him in State College PA and this little place called "The Deer Park" which is a night club in George's old stomping grounds in Wilmington, DE. Lonesome George used to like to cruise our neighborhoods in an old Checker Taxi cab. He can play a mean guitar and can play it with his mouth and toes, too.

I've heard of George playing small clubs, it's a street legend up here. Funny about the Checker cab, Doc Edgerton....the local MIT genius had one too.

Thanks for the note!

Interesting you say that. I was looking at a website today that sold 84" snowblowers that attach to the front of a pickup truck using the existing plow frame/lift. It had a 22 or 24 HP motor, weighed 800 pounds and cost $10k. Ouch.

Ahhhhhhhhh! The name "Franken" A name soon to become synonymous with Kubota snow removal. I just want you to know that while all these other guys might think this stuff is all a big joke, I'm with you in realizing your sincerity.

You know what I mean, some of these smart arses think the youtube video of you throwing perfectly good apples through the Frankenblower was all purposeless. Huh! You and I knew all the time this beats the heck out of making apple sauce the conventional way. You could easily supply Wal-mart Super Stores the world over with an endless supply of Frankenblower applesauce. And to think it, you could mention the phrase on each can, "Kohler powered" or "Kohler ground". You could become a millionaire.

Great piece of machinery and just remember., any chicken can throw snow in a tractor with a cab. It takes a real man to run headlong into a snowbank with a Frankenblower. The only thing funnier would be if you had to back up and blow snow at the same time like I have to.

As for me, I don't do applesauce.

Very funny video.
