Went out to mow my lawn yesterday between rain showers and found a little sign posted in my lawn that said it had been treated by XXXXlawn and to stay off it for 24 hours. Thing is, I didn't ask for it. It was meant for the yard across the street! How do I know this? Because they do the same thing every couple of years. You see, all of the mailboxes are on the same side of the road. My side. My mailbox, as is everyone else's on our side of the road, is right next to the driveway. The houses across the street have their mailboxes directly across the road from their driveways. And therein lies the problem... the mailbox that belongs to the house across the street is directly in front of my front door. It doesn't matter that the numbers on my house don't match the numbers on the mailbox, or that the mailbox has 6 big, reflective arrows pointing across the street. Nope, people that live and work here still don't realize that even addresses are on the east side of the street and odd numbered addresses are on the west side.
So, I called the XXXXlawn company and asked them what they put on my lawn. They said MCPP, MCTA and DICAMBA. I've found information on MCPP and DICAMBA, but cannot find anything on MCTA. Anyone have any ideas?
