In the early '60s I used to be a window clerk in the Dallas Post Office and there was a fellow in Dallas who ran an ad in some magazines and he was a regular customer at the post office, shipping the gadgets he made for cutting corn off the cob. And it appears that Walmart now sells almost the same thing.

That is what we have been using for a long time. My Mom has one that is so worn, but works great. The blades are set at just the right spot. I just said to her this morning, "Aren't you glad we didn't have any corn to put up today?" We were both tired out .
