Cokeman,

Nice looking rig, but this picture clearly shows that your mowing deck lift arms are not locked in the up position. Raise your 3PH all the way up and then dial the big black knob under your seat until it says "Top". This will keep the arms locked up even after you lower the 3PH back down. You don't want them suckers to get hung up on something! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Arthurb: I think I have enough power. I trimed the snow banks back at the road with no problem and this snow was hard. I think I could make the engine slow down if I stuffed the blower into the hard stuff at a 90 degree angle but I don't see the need to do that.

I ended up getting a Lucknow L48 blower. Quiet and solid but heavy. I'm very impressed with this. There is also a 42 an 52 inch model available but 4 feet seems to be the ticket for the 1500. The 42 would be too narrow.

I don't see th need for chains yet. My driveway was clear when the machine arrived. Most of my seat time was spent widening it and blowing the banks back. Some of that snow has been there since December and the blower chewed right through it. I used the blower as a scraper and dragged it with the machine in 4wd and actually got the driveway down to bare pavement. I guess if you have slight reservations about power you should get one of the 18 hp machines.

Junkman: The weight cost 230.00 Canadian which was Dealer cost. When he put the blower on the tractor he could lift the front end with one hand with the blower raised. Weight was the obvious answer. There is no bracket though. They just hang on the front of the frame. I think I will buy the bracket though because the weight is close to the plastic body work. I'll take a pic of it for you and post it later today.

Gregw: Sorry I can't answer your question. I don't have any experience with a BX22 or 23.

Rbarker: Thanks for that tip. I just went out to the garage and did that. I guess I shouldn't have played first and read the manual later. I just wanted to get on that sucker and try it out.
