Friend broke my GC1710

The firewood that fell on my hood when the tractor was three days old didn't break any lights. Education costs and I thought that was a minor payment. Ten years later it doesn't look much different.

My neighbor was miffed when told that "no, he cannot borrow or operate my tractor but that I'd be happy to help any other way I could".

Also, my Tractor insurance company only allows the tractor off my property for servicing or repairs. I had no problem with that stipulation either.:D

To me if they dont have enough money to buy their own then they dont have the money to fix yours if they borrow it.

My son came out with one of his buddies. The buddy says - "WoW, I've never driven a tractor. Can I try it out". My son was so very embarrassed. I can't believe - I was POLITE when I said, NO. I had the almost uncontrollable urge to choke the snot out of "buddy". But I remained calm and restrained.

Not a friend, and one who is very stupid. Not only was it stupid, it was not safe.

A friend of mine got his bucket bent when he loaned his tractor out.

One thing I'd never do. Friend's or others can rent.

It's not clear where the mishap occured. I take it, that you didn't loan the tractor. Then the person should pay. If I let someone operate my machines, on my property or project, it's totally on me. Accidents happen and one must select people with some discernment as to who you trust to run your stuff. Never mind damage, think of INJURY!

I do have friends that I would lend anything to and other people, I would not lend or let operate a garden rake.
