So if you raise a pallet to dock height and then get out and load that pallet with weight such as tiles. Will the loader sink after you reach a certain weight? I understand and have experienced the max lift ability but what about the other way? Can you overload the loader that way?

You certainly can overload it that way, but there is no relief valve in the
work ports of the FEL valve, so overloading manually will manifest itself
by bending something, tipping the tractor, blowing a seal in a cylinder, or
bursting a hose. You will get more fluid flow past the spool in the FEL
valve, too, but that is unlikely to suddenly increase. The added weight on
the loader will cause it to sink down a bit faster, but that is not a "failure".

In my photo, I will bet that I could manually add at least a thousand more
pounds to this load before any type of catastrophic failure, but I am not
going to try it. Honestly, I do not know what would give out first. My loader
on this Kioti is still very tight in terms of internal hyd leaks in the valve
or cyls, as evidenced by how many days it will stay up before sinking from its
own weight.

(Highbeam, hope your new loader is still working well.)
