front driveshaft protection?

I appreciate the feedback. I'll give it a try if I can find a Yanmar dealer willing to order parts for a "gray market" model. I guess I'm not obligated to say that it is for a 1720D. The discussion on Yanmar's position statement and my own recent experience tells me I can expect a cold shoulder from the JD dealers in my area who supply Yanmar parts if they know it is a gray market tractor.

Pete, the numbers that you give are for a YM226D. The YM1720D has a different number and they are not listed in the Yanmar data base. The O-rings and the boot are the same. You might be able to modify the YM226D cover to make it fit the YM1720D. The cost of the parts are about $165.00 from Yanmar. I think that I would try to find a parts tractor YM1601D,1610D, 1702D, 1802D,2002D, and buy a used one. There are other models that fit also.

Alright, it seems that I was mistaken then on those PN, I was under the impression that the whole driveline was the same, sorry for the confusion

YM1720D front driveshaft parts

194311-14650 center boot
194511-14610 front cover
194421-14640 rear cover
24321-000600 front and rear o-rings
194191-13370 not sure what these are, looks like they fit inside the front and rear covers?

I have attached an image of the page from the parts manual. If it's too small, let me know and I'll e-mail you a copy.

194191-13370 is a rubber boot. 194511-14610 & 194421-14640 are not available from Yanmar USA.

1401d driveshaft parts needed

I've been fortunate enough to find sources for all but one part I need. Apparently, it's one of those parts Yanmar will no longer sell to the U.S. It's the support housing--connecting the differential to the rubber boot and driveline covers...part number 194210-13451. If anyone has 1401d parts to sell, please let me know.
