Front loader capacity

I have a Branson 5835r with loader. The specs say it has lift capacity at pivot points of 3400 lbs. The tractor weighs 5800 lbs. I am debating on getting a feed tote. (2000 lbs) I would have to unload it from pick-up and move into shed. Has anyone lifted a ton with this tractor. I do not have any ballast. I am concerned the back wheels might come off the ground. Thanks for your input.

Loaded tires would be a start. Mines a 50 hp John Deere - a tad smaller - and will carry a ton on the front loader but ballast on the 3 point is a big help. Even a round bale on the 3 point spear will help. Hilly ground is also an issue and can make the back tires come up easier than flat ground. Go slow and be careful

Without ballast or loaded tires the front axle becomes the pivot point. You want the rear axle to be the pivot point. Do you, or your neighbor have any heavy implements that you can put onto the 3pt hitch. I would also get the rear tires loaded ASAP for other FEL chores. Windshield washer fluid good for -20F, or Beet Juice if you can afford it. Both will last the life of the tractor without puncture.
John Deere dealer lost a lawsuit because the tractor delivered had a FEL, and the dealer didn't load the rear tires.

My tractor was delivered with the rear tires loaded by the dealer for free. Didn't know it until I took delivery.

As with any tractor, you want counter weight on the 3 pt when doing loader work.

& of course your lift capacity goes way down with loads extended w/forks.

If your tractor has a loader then you need ballast. Period!
