Front Mounted PTO Driven Brush Hog

Does anyone manufacture a front mounted, pto driven brush hog similar to a hydro axe for tractors? I am looking for trail clearing options other than what is available in the pull type brush hogs.

Not sure what tractor you run, but on mine the mid PTO spins faster, but with less power than the rear PTO which would make it impossible (for me at least) to run a front mounted bush hog.

Yes, but it is expensive! ASV makes a track-loader tractor that is front end capable for 3pt and pto http://www.asvi.com/2800_attach_detail.cfm?WorkToolID=58

Otherwise, switching to a hydraulic drive off the loader arms would offer best flexibilty on a CUT; basically adding a skidsteer attach and remote hydraulics.

Has anybody ever try to do this, I would love to have it on my FEL.

Sounds to me, that what you need is a Power Trac. All of their attachments are front mounted.

There are hundreds of quick attach brush cutters that can replace your bucket..... trouble is that they are all high flow hydro, tractors not so much.
