front winch powered by PTO

There are a lot of adequate pumps that take a max of 3600 RPM so depending on the pump, a direct drive link at 2500 should work...almost all of the pumps I looked at have higher GPM ratings than the tractor's native system...

not sure what would be required to make the direct drive link from PTO shaft to pump shaft...hopfully just a splined sleeve and a machined bushing??

Ok, I get it. I was thinking something like these which run at 540 or 1000 rpm.

Just make shure the pumps capacity does not exceed the available horsepower.
I have a lot to learn about the hydraulic end of this...
...2500RPM sounds a little high-most Mid-PTO's are usually 2100 RPM...
I just double checked and 2500 is what the original Kubota decal on the PTO control lever says...?

it would add a little to the expenses and involve more fab work but it would not be that difficult to us a chain and sprockets to adjust the RPMs?

I was thinking something like these which run at 540 or 1000 rpm.
I'm hoping to find something like one of these...I saw one that was min. 2000 RPM/max 5000...like I said I have a lot to learn about hydraulics...

I drive a pump from the crank (FRT pto) on my Mitsu for the FEL. Works just great!
My buddy also has a frt PTO driven pump for his FEL on a B7100
In bosthcases the result is faster FEL movement over engine pumps.

My FEL when coupled to Mitsu engine pump was painfully slow and now I almost operate like a bobcat.

About only requirement is a U-joint for proper alignment followed by required valves and plumbing.
With our FEL's one post was designed to be a reservoir with appropriate fittings.

I have an 8000lb hyd winch mounted permanently in my loader frame. It is the one handiest thing I ever did to a tractor. Seems as I use it a lot for picking attachments, moving logs and such. I don't use it for logging as I have one for the rear also. Is nice to always have that cable handy.
It has saved me twice, I can't tell you how many others it has saved, lots.
I do need to replace the fairlead up front, will put up a pick.
