Frontier 72" snowplow on a 200cx (2320)

I am using a frontier 72 inch fel mount blade on a 2320. I keep my 46 backhoe on for the weight balance. to over come the front lifting and pushing sideways, I simply changed the hydraulic lines around so just the blade floats while the fel arms are held stationary. to do this, swap lines 1 and 4. also swap lines 2 and three. This change will raise and lower the whole thing with a side to side motion of the joystick, and the blade will raise with a back pull, lower with a front motion and float just the blade when pushed all the way foreward until it clicks. Just used it on a 12 inch + snow fall, worked great. wiremess

Welcome to TBN:D

Glad your luck is better than mine.

I have a used 5' Western hydroturn plow mounted to the frame. I mounted it close so at full angle it is only 2 inches from the front tire. Less pushing the front sideways in heavy snow. Also when angled it covers the tire tracks so I thought it was the perfect size. I also have a 6' rear blade for clean up mounted on the three point.
joes_427_vette,
Will your front tires turn in all the way (steering) without hitting the plow frame? This is where I had problems when making my plow frame.

I wish my current blade had 72" of width instead of 66", I am looking to figure out a way to expand the width.

Finally bellied up and bought the extension kit form JD and Now I have 82" of width and it does work a lot better than before. However, I am also considering getting a REAR Snowblower (Frontier SB11 64") to handle the larger snows

I just traded my JD 2720 with the front snow plow in for a JD 3520 w/59" front snow blower. I live in Williamstown at 1500" elevation and I get snow. i thought the plow would work much better/faster than my 47" snow blower. Wrong answer. I got pushed around alot. I did not have the best tires (r4) but my rears had ice chains and were loaded. If you are plowing nice level wide areas where you can push the snow back aways it worked very well. Any turning or angle plowing, forget it! I could not get going fast enough to wing it over the banks.

I originally had frame mounted blades on my units until I got the 4310. Then I had Boom mounted front blade that sat out on the end of my loader arms where my loader bucket typically resides. Even with filled tires and weights, it was so far out there I ended up making mistakes. Went back to a frame mounted blade on the 3520 and added extensions - works well. However, I am considering a Rear Mounted snow blower for big snows.
