Brake fluid works great as penetrating oil. It's alot better than WD-40 and doesn't dry out.

SORRY, unless you have one of the remaining cans of PB Blaster with Teflon, it does NOT lubricate. Any lubricity in PB Blaster is only effective while the Blaster is still wet.
What is left behind when the petroleum distilate (paint thinner) and Naptha evaporate is not a lubricant. Any lubricating value is very short lived.

I am not trying to argue with you. I'm just telling you what the can says, and its only about 1 month old. And as I said, I personally have never found a penetrating oil that don't leave a film of oil. And I do believe PB Blaster does too from what I have seen in useing it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
