Tractor
Kioti/ck3510hst
Good afternoon
Just need to do a bit of venting
Bought a LS MT 342 cab in late November 2021
Pretty happy for the most part( couple of computer issues due to elevation I live at( Colorado mts..)
Back in November notice that the 4 wheel drive want working, took it to dealer, (Legacy Tractor in Fort Collins CO)found everything was covered under warranty..
Parts are in stock and should only be a couple weeks max..
2 months later still don’t have the tractor
LS has no updates on the couple parts we’re waiting for…
Guess their inventory was off so the had to order from Korea ..
Dealership is doing everything they can and their getting frustrated also..
they still have NO updates
Living in Colorado I bought the tractor for snow removal but this season was even more important due to my mother in law is living with us and is dealing with hospice.. so I really needed to keep the drive cleared.. ugh!
Sorry just need to vent
Thanks for listening
Jeff

Absent that, what is the part. Maybe you (or folks here) can find elsewhere in the US & then either you buy/get reimbursed, or your dealer can arrange a dealer trade with the dealer that has inventory?

Last couple of years be hard finding tractor parts etc. even here. :(

My tractor's white with orange wheels, but I've got an LS dealer two blocks away. What's more, it wouldn't bother me at all to walk over and see what they could do.

My dealer has said there hands are tied for a rental, they don’t do anything like that..
There was talk about just taking parts off a new tractor and once the new parts come in put them on donor.
Their wait for front differential gears/parts
I’ve asked if they could just put it back together but said it would do more damage
What got messed up was there’s a locking plate in the differential and it wasn’t torque correctly and nuts came loose and Destroyed many different things…
Just really frustrated.
Plowing with a atv on a 1/2 mile long driveway in the mountains takes forever..
luckily we haven’t had the big snowstorm yet…..ugh
Just venting some more

I'd ask who has their hands tied? It's up to the owner.

Do they have a similar or better tractor on the lot? Maybe time to trade up and make them give you a sweet deal.

Can you ask the dealer if they can cross reference the same parts from New Holland - there are several other companies LS makes tractors for.

My dealer fixed a tractor with what sounds like the same problems your tractor is having, owner towed it 150 miles to get repaired there because supposedly the original selling dealer refused to work on it, he wanted it covered under warranty but I never heard if warranty covered it. The tractor looked pretty beat up when I saw it all apart in the shop.

Get your mother on a pure vegan diet.

If I had cancer I would do this:

No MEAT, COFFEE, SODA OR SWEATS THESE
ITEMS MAKE YOUR SYSTEM ACIDIC

Drink fresh made carrot juice couple ozs
3 or 4 times a day

Take 1000 mg VIT "C" ever 4 hours

Take this drink mix in the moring and evening
4 oz water
4 to 6 tablespoons pure maple syrup or molasses
1 teaspoon baking soda

My dealer (Kubota and JCB) in cases when the customer cannot use the warranty tractor at all due to lack of parts or repair technology, assigns him a demo or replacement company tractor. This is his obligation determined by the distributor. The client may not know this and may not even ask.

Another way could be an e-mail message to the customer care bureau of the distributor, explaining the situation to him, i.e. that you cannot stay without a tractor for so long.

As far as a "loaner" I'd bet the dealer is frustrated beyond your situation and additional costs would be involved for him (depreciation on a new loaner, liability insurance if you were to damage property or injury, delivery concerns and outright theft or destruction of the loaner) would be prohibitive.
As far as I know this loaner situation is subsidized by the manufacturer when it's available.
I'm very sympathetic to your situation and "vent" on.👍

Just a thought.....get a list of the part numbers you are waiting on from the dealer, post it here, and let's see if the members of this group can find the parts and send to you. I'm happy to check with my dealer and the local NH dealer.

I purchased a tractor from Legacy.... Gary, the owner, is a straight shooter. I wouldn't put blame on him.... he probably really is having problems getting parts.
Like others said, post the part numbers here....

Hey everyone
Here’s a update
The guys at the dealership got together and made a offer to trade for same make and model but I needed to pay the difference.. it was way more than I can afford unfortunately.. paid cash for mine and that took all I had..( I appreciate the offer) but why would I pay for the same tractor but new, when the same thing could happen that they can’t get parts for now.. just saying..
Found out from the service manager that he finally got a hold of corporate and they have no idea if/when they can get the parts needed, from Korea!
I contacted the corporate headquarters in North Carolina and they responded within minutes and are looking into my situation..
I’m hopeful but at this point I don’t know
I’ll ask for part numbers next week and post them and we’ll see ..
Thanks for listening to the frustrated venting!

OP, if they can't get your tractor fixed due to unavailable parts then you are eligible for a buy back. I suggest you check the lemon laws of your state and let us know what you find out.

Was just thinking that last night.🤔

If you don’t get what you need from LS you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I see several complaints have been resolved going that route. But it does sound like they are trying.

BBB has little real clout. You’re better off looking to the State Attorney Generals office for help. Here is a link to Co’s. as a reference You dont have to be a resident of the state to file against a company either, the complaint igoes against where the company is doing business

Larger companies like to hide behind multiple office locations and sometimes its harder to track down (like Directv).

Not disagreeing but I just had read some of these and saw there was effort from LS to resolve issues.
