Valvoline methanol is required. Each fuel tank can hold a maximum of 40 gallons of fuel and each car must have a minimum fuel efficiency of 1.8 miles per gallon. Methanol is used for safety reasons. It is not as explosive as gasoline. To minimize refueling hazards (1.1m mpeg movie) each entry must have a three-man refueling team. In addition, shutoff valves are required at both ends of the fueling hose. )</font>
