Noticed a leak in the fuel line on the tractor near where I had installed a cheap in-line petcock (plastic) , the L2800s don't have a fuel cut off , so made it by a local motorcycle shop and grabbed a real petcock (brass) .
After installing and cleaning the area drove the tractor around , moving some of the limbs from the last Climate Change event (Snow) , noticed there was still a leak , this time it looked as if it was on the pump , in fact the fuel pump assembly (found in parts manual) , called for price , $121 to $126 , ouch .
Curious before going to spend that much , got to looking around , noticed that a hose clamp looked a little to spread apart , got a Phillips twisted the screw till it was snug , bingo , that was it , cleaned the area again and did some more work , no more fuel leakage , phew , must have been that way form the get go and just now showed up , paint must have sealed it off .
