My BX 2230 has developed a fuel leak from tank on left side ( sitting on machine.) This just started in the last week. Nothing big, but a wet spot about the size of dinner plate on floor. I did find hose clamp needed to be repositioned on left rear, but it seemed like the problem was coming from the top behind the cup holder area. My tank is full to neck of filler. Anyone else have this problem or have heard of it? Thoughts?

I'm sure others with that same model will reply but I have read a few posts about the BX2200 and early BX2230 models having an issue with the fuel sending unit leaking. You are describing the same location of the leak and that your tank is full to the neck. Check with your dealer, they came out with a better design of the gasket for the fuel sending unit.

Thanks, if that is where the sending unit is located, it looks like it'll be a bear to get at. I don't think I've ever filled it up that much before. I was just trying to empty the can.

I had that problem on my BX2200. Yes, it was a leak in a seal at the sending unit. Dealer repaired with some new kit, but they had a hard time with it and it was expensive, ~ $450.

I had a leak on my BX22 at that location. The dealer did the sending unit repair. Got it home and still had the leak. It turned out there was a screw in elbow in the bottom of the tank that was loose. I teflon taped all three or four of those fittings. Has been holding for 8 years.
