Fuel price spread

My brother just left here a few minutes ago. I had to try out the 2000 F350 Lariat crew cab diesel he traded for this past week; nice truck. And he mentioned filling up in Waco for $1.79 a gallon yesterday.

Just filled up the pickup at a Sams club in Vandalia ohio for $1.61.
A shell station in downtown Dayton is selling Diesel for $1.89
That's the cheapest either one around here has been in a long time.

Just filled up here in southern maine was 191.9 for reg unleaded

When I was looking at new cars earlier this year, diesel was 50 cents cheaper than regular unleaded. Now it's 38 cents more expensive. That's a variance of 88 cents in less than six months.

Around Ohio 10 cents between grades is the norm. The price however varies quite a bit as well. In the small town I live 1.96, at the interstate 1.75, next exchange 1.73. Once I get to the big town prices vary by time quite a bit. Same station.. Friday morning was 1.82, at noon it was 1.75 and in the evening was 1.86.
Diesel is running 2.17

Yikes! AZ sounds high. This morning regular unleaded $1.69, premium $1.79 here in S. IN.

I had heard the problem was because of a heating fuel shortage. I'm happy I'm on nat gas! I just don't get it why diesel is more than premium gas tho. Since the cost of fuel has gone up so much, you know it's affecting transportation costs alot. Standby for more increases in food and other necessities, the "they" crowd won't be happy till the middle class is gone. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I know that may sound absurd, but it's something to think about. I've read in the past that the Great Depression was manufactured by a few that would benefit at the expense of many. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

you got it. The truckers (or truck companies) are not going to eat the increase. Make way for $5.50 gallon of milk and apples to be $2.50 per lb.

Today diesel is 2.39 per gallon in Bloomfield CT.

I agree sooner rather then later all the higher jobs will be gone and no one will be left to afford anything.
