Brian, Bale of hay, small ones, not the euro bales. i agree that a euro bale would crush the sammy, but i cant think a pickup would take it well either. Maybe you have bigger pickups than what i see round here. If i had a euro bale to move i would get a trailer to tow.
the 4x6 trailer takes garden tractors sweet, my compact i bribe the boss into moving with his van, so far i aint needed to move it part from getting it here to begin with.

I probably aint a good person to answer the question about moving big things, my main arena is garden tractors, thats about as heavy as i get my 1/2 ton compact.

It also makes the idea of making bio diesel something a whole lot more worth considering. I'm getting interested in it.

This may lead to threads like.. "Can my CUT dig a hole big enough to bury a tanker truck?" OR.. "How big a trailer can my mule team pull?" /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mith,

This thread has got me thinking, I should go and buy a pickup to move my houseboat in a few weeks.

I would haul heavier and further than most TBNers all with a Kia Sportage. I do regular trips about 200 miles and haul back all sorts of materials often loaded up to 2 ton on board the trailer. Admitedly it is mainly flat going but i travel at about 100kmh or 55mph. This time last year i towed a 6x4 box trailer loaded to 3/4 ton and traveled to the top end (northern Australia) camping, there was three of us and the car was loaded. we traveled a total of 9000 km with no problem .
However most Aussies would do this trip in there $80,000 Toyota Landcruiser. A new Kia Sportage costs $25,000

Not what you probably want to hear, but I traded my '02 Yukon XL 45k mi. great shape last Dec. and it is STILL sitting on the dealer's used car lot 4-1/2 months later! /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I was going to take out a home equity!

Just remember, shop at Exxon/Mobil for all your gas. I need some dividends this quarter. J

I figure that maybe by this time next year I will buy a used SUV (Status Upgrade Vehicle). I drive very little and could afford the gas, and maybe Exon/Mobil will be giving them away if you sign a 2 year gas purchase agreement with them.
