I have a 2001 TN 70D with 1000hrs on it. Over the winter a mouse has chewed a hole in the small fuel return line that runs between the injectors. My eyesight is not good enough to determine how that small line is attached from fitting to fitting at each injector. Has anyone had to replace those lines that could provide any guidance or suggestions?

Thank you for the help.

Typically that will be a hard plastic line pushed onto a steel barbed fitting. I have replaced a number of them with softer line available from a number of sources. I buy a bulk length, cut it to fit. Cut the old line off the barb and push the new line onto it. Usually something like this.

Thank you for the response. Is that something you do with those connectors on the tractor or does it have to be removed from the tractor, replumbed and then reattached as an assembly?

Typically they are push connections but may have a small spring clamp. And yes they can be done without removing the injectors.

I don't take anything apart, just slice the old hose off and push the new hose on.

Online I have seen 3.2mm (1/8") ID and 3.5mm ID return hose. Maybe a quick call to the dealer could get you the right size?

I tried the dealer. They were cordial by not informative. Since I know it’s a barbed connection I’ll get a few pieces of the small hose and report back which one fits the best. Harry in Ky sent a link to the size he uses and works for him so I’ll try it first for mine.

Thanks to all for the help.
