fuel solenoid

John Deere 4300 and I started having problems with the tractor shutting off after a while when it got hot. I searched this forum and found all the symptoms that my tractor as doing. I took off the fuel solenoid and the plunger was packed with oil. I cleaned it out and it works fine now but for how long? Has anyone found a solution to this common problem? People on the searches said that a new solenoid does not fix it and it is a common problem with the 4300. Any suggestions?

There may also be a thermistor involved. An under ten dollar item.

I bought the thermistor first for 5 bucks planning on changing it but when I couldn't find my soldering gun I just took the solenoid off and cleaned it. I don't know if I should change the thermistor since it has yet to shut off after I cleaned it out.

Wish I could help but I've got a 4200 with the same problem that a solution has evaded me.

Heat gun on the solenoid and pumping the charge pump usually works for me.
