How do you get your fuel??? refilling plastic jugs? Or a pump??? How does one find out about a say 100 gal stand up storage system???? Or do I even need that much?:confused2:

how much do you use in a week? month? year?

many fuel depot's will sell 55g drums of diesel.

might not be cheaper.. may even be a tad more than pump price.. but that gets you started with a bbl.

then make a tilted stand, add a pump or spout.. and you are good to go... load up inthe truck and go fill up as needed.

A buddy I know made a fuel trailer out of one of those lil harbor freight trailer kits.. he welded up a 2 drum frame so he could always have a swap if needed.. course. he has a good number of diesel tractors on his farm.

I just wondered how you guys do it. Next year will be my first time going diesel. I am not buying 4, 5 gallon cans again like I did for gas. That was for Get- Go, free gas from Giant Eagle.

I have a 300 gallon diesel tank on a stand. My delivery guy will not deliver less than 150 gallons at a time. Just get it filled once a year.

I don't use my tractors enough for any kind of on-premise storage make sense. So it's jugs for me. I'd rather buy fresh fuel as needed and keep only a couple 5 gal jugs full on hand. Your mileage may vary.

after my ordeal with old gas in that 4000, I'm not going to have mor ethan about 10g setting around for the lawnmower or tractor de jour....

I hauled cans for my Kubota L3710 but when I traded for a L5740 this year I couldn't get work done for running to town for fuel so I bought a 105 gallon aluminum (I hate rust) tank, mounted it on a utility trailer I seldom used anymore, and turned that into a service trailer. Works good but it feels worse paying over $300 to fill even though I don't fill as often and I save on fuel cost in my truck. Have a station that sells off-highway duel on town so I don't have to worry about minimum delivery volume.

I have 5, 5 gallon yellow diesel cans. Nothing special here!
