Makes me tempted to start my own tractor repair and sales store haha.

In all reality I can't even afford a 3520, but we have to keep paying someone to spread our manure, dig post holes, spread our compost pile, why make someone else rich? For $200 a month more I could have my own piece of equipment that I can keep for 30 years.

JDTank,

I think your best option may be a 2x20 tractor - 2720/2520 preferably. If all you say is all you have to do I don't see the "need" for a 3x20 and especially a 4x20 tractor. You may want, and I understand that, but I think a tractor that would fit your budget and your "needs" the best is a 2720. Less up front, less fuel as well. It will do everything you describe and fit a budget much better:thumbsup:

I only have about 4 acres to worry about anyways. bush hogging twice a year, blading, moving horse manure, post hole digging, branch clean up with a grapple, and that's about all I need to do.

One of my needs is a grapple though. Our horse paddocks also use hog fuel like I described earlier, the more I could take in one load the better, so the bigger the machine the quicker it will go. Sometimes we get 3 truck loads at once and with a small bucket it can take days to get it all moved. It's also hard to move with a bucket, it's much easier to use a grapple for it.

The 2520 can be modified with after market kits for 3rd function, but by the time you stick a grapple on that small machine, you can only lift 600 or 700 pounds.

Bush hogging is going to be a fairly common chore in the summer time, I have about 2.5 acres of that to do every 2 months or so.

Many comments here on TBN regarding the 2520-2720 machines. Especially the $$/Hp gap between the 2720 and the 3000 series.

Many buyers regard the 2520 as the "end point" to the 2000 series. If you need the extra power that makes the 2720 attractive - the difference in money between that model and stepping up to the 3000 machine is a "no brainer"!

Buy a 3000 machine.
