Full figured 25hp Tractors

Good update, glad your Kioti is working out for you.
I picked up a CK2620SE with the cab and AC last summer.
One reason I went with the 2620 is the 25 hp limit to avoid a doc/dpf in the exhaust and emission compliant common rail fuel injection.
I also will be turning the fuel screw up mine. I did get the little backhoe and while I have used it quite a bit I'm still debating with myself the usefulness of the backhoe compared to one of the chinee mini excavators for about the same money.
I am pleased with the R14 tires, I did have to add spacers to the rear for tire chain clearance.
Also I use the mid range most of the time but it will run out of power quite rapidly some times.
My driveway is steep and she can travese the entire thing with the AC on in low range with no trouble, in mid range I end up with the hand throttle maxed out and feathered most of the way out on the speed pedal to keep her above 2200 rpm in a few spots and if I'm in a hurry I'll turn the AC off for a hundred feet of the steepest.
I am going to have to put a seat riser or a stiffer spring in the seat to raise my seating position and have to watch my right knee as it has curled the bucket a few times when I wasn't paying attention.

Hello LouNY, I'm trying to decide between Kubota LX2620 Cab and the Kioti CK2620SE Cab w/loader. I just got a quote on a leftover 2024 Kioti CK2620SE Cab with R14 tires so I was wondering what you paid for your Kioti? I also have a Kioti CS2520 60" mower just for moving and so far, am happy with it. Thanks, IH3444

I don't recall for sure it was around $36,000 or $38,000, but I also got the little back hoe with it and that was0ver $7000 close to $8000 as I recall. I also got the wider bucket and the heavy duty stabilizer parts.
I have noticed that the AC really takes a toll on her hill climbing ability in mid or high range.

Any machine in this horsepower to weight category is going to prefer medium/low going up a hill, even an open station, it's just the nature of this beast.

The cab and R14 tires are going to be equivalent or more to a backhoe price wise.

So, based on my experience, if I was wanting a Ck2620 sized machine, which i do think is a great size, with a cab, i really would price the 35 or 40 hp version. I kniw you have regen, but I haven't heard of any wide spread issues with the Kioti regeneration, and I think you'll be happy with the power. In the open station models, its only a few $1000 more; dont kniw in cab models, but i would atleast price it.

I tend to agree.
Having the opportunity to drive all types of hp tractors, yes you avoid regen with anything under 25 hp.
Although big machinery can run on hydro, 25 hp never seems enough motivational force for a hydro system sized for a compact tractor in my opinion.

I would agree. Full figured 25HP tractors do struggle especially with a Cab and Backhoe attached. Case in point, the Kubota Grand L Series L3240.

Luckily, alternative options to increase power do exist!

With a Turbo Kit both these tractors are now producing 45HP and 35PTO.

I hope the rest of the tractor, like transmission, differential gears & bearings, PTO etc. can handle that kind of power increase in the long run...
I doubt the designers oversized all of it that much, after all Kubota is in business to make a profit.

Oh well, each to his own.
