This seems so silly, but I simply cannot get the fuse cover door to close and latch shut on my new 4300. The dealer said if all else fails to come in and try a few on their lot, see if I can spot what's different with mine. Of course I'll do that the next time they are open.
I popped it open just out of curiosity, which turned out to be an okay thing because a few of the fuses needed to be seated better. But it simply will not latch shut now.
I know, it's a very minor problem.. but still.. it would be nicer if the door wasn't flapping around while I work.
When I try to close it, there is clearly a pressure point in the middle, because neither side sits flush. It seems obvious that the latch pin goes through the hole, and then moves downward to lock it shut. But it simply never gets shut far enough for this mechanism to work.
Any suggestions welcome!
TIA, and Happy Holidays to all,
Bob
