I think quite a few of the tractors out there are great and you will probably need little other than normal maintenance items. If you are thinking about keeping the tractor for a few decades, currently I would have to agree with most everyone thet JD has the best parts availability. If they do not have it in stock, they will have it the next morning at 7AM in most cases. You pay the freight on these parts, but if you can wait a couple of days, they will get the parts in on a stock order. This is even for 30 to 40 yr old tractors. I have found some of the odd ball parts for my Ford that are not supported by the aftermarket, super expensive through New Holland. The aftermarket does have quite a supply network though. Good luck with what you have or buy.
