G1800 Steering

Does anybody have any remedies to fix the excessive play in the steering on a G1800? Thanks

First find the weakest piece! Then start changing after that till you are happy with the steering!

How much is excessive? Are we talking inches before the tires start to move?

I have about 2 inches of play in the steering. The reason I posted on this forum about the steering problem, a couple of years ago someone posted a solution about the excessive play in the steering. They had repaired the problem without repairing the steering gearbox. They added some type of stabilizer to the steering linkage.

Well. I know they make add-on steering stabilizers for jeeps and whatnot but I am not sure where you would get one small enough for a G series. Let me go out and look at mine today and think on how you might do it.
