G6200H situation - need help!

Hi all - newbie here... Very nice forum!

I have an '88 Kubota G6200H with only 525 hrs on it.
Nice shape, excellent mechanically.
My Dad was the original owner,
always garaged and maintained.

I hate to part with it, but I really need a
tractor that can mulch. After hounding my local dealer
for 3 days, they finally told me that Kubota never made a mulching plug or blades for it, and sadly I can't find them on the net (aftermarket) either.

I can make a plug (cover),
but still need the blades...
if anyone knows where I can find mulching blades, that would be great!

Anyone know a good place to find Gator mulching blades?
The ones I have checked online didn't list my tractor.

If I can't get them, I guess I will have to get rid of it and buy a different tractor. In that case, how can I find out what my tractor is worth? I can't seem to find any links to (free) value guides at all.

A local dealer told me Retail was $1k, and trade was around $700., but I saw the book he was looking at - it didn't have retail listed at all, it was a trade-in value range only. (Plus, I was in the car business for years - I know that having only 525 hours should clearly add to the value.)

Any thoughts, links, etc...?

Hi Steve,
Don't know of any source for the mulching blades you are looking for, but if things don't work out in your search and you consider selling the machine, I may be interested. As far as value, I can tell you that I bought my G6200H with Hydraulic lift and 44" deck with 348 hours, looks like new and paid $2400. I have a snow blower too, and would use the second machine to leave hooked up with the snow blower and as a back-up mower. Let me know.

Looks like you might have a chance!
My wife actually thinks I should get a new tractor...
(Of course I have to jump on that before
she comes to her senses ;-)

Where do you live?
I am in NC and OH - anywhere close by?

Mine does not look "like new,"
but I'd say it is much better than average
for an '88 - mechanically excellent.

Has about 532 hours I think - always garaged.
Also has hydraulic lift, and 48" deck.

Well, get back to me if you are anywhere near OH or NC.
